My best friend was gonna walk me through it, but that never happened... I tried to figure it out, but the coded layout is kinda what screws with me (and I know that you can get packs that turn the symbols into sprites, but it didn't work right and I'm not entirely sure how I installed it wrong).

I would suggest getting the ones that have the pre-installed sprite tilesets instead of fiddling with the codes at first contact. The UI in general is uncooperative, but I'm willing to answer questions regarding that game if you have them. I needed a lot of help too when I first started out, and it wasn't until the third time trying again that I finally got things going.
