Only certain forms of dickery are accepted.  Perhaps "don't be a dick" should be rephrased to "don't be the kind of dick i find annoying"

Exactly.  Only certain forms if warranted.  If you're just pulling down your pants and yelling "Look at my dick!" we're not really cool with that.
