Long Arming Sword does not generate xp

I've noticed over the past few games playing with my new heavy crossbowman that the long arming sword does not seem to generate melee or assist xp when I kill someone with it. I have not verified if it is only failing to announce the XP or if I am getting no xp from it at all though.

Double checked and there is absolutely zero xp gain from the long arming sword.

Its an item which cannot be equipped by players via the website, only accessible by looting on the battlefield.
Thus its not linked to the database. (Works for most weapons that fulfill those criteria, same for fists.)
