House Bankrupt problem? wasted 20k?

So basically, I bought/created my own house, and I donated 10k to handle the taxes for a while, but then after I donated 10k, it went bankrupt straight away?  :'(  is there a way to make it un-bankrupted? can I get a refund if not possible?
