So today during our event, we did 2 ragnarok runs both in an hour each and a hard run. All 3 were successful and all bosses were killed.
Supplies:
2 Tome bringers, 2 Barrel bringers, 1 wall cade bringer, 1 Master surgeon kit bringer, rest SHC/med box etc.
Wave 1-13 is easy as pie, same as last patch, just make sure the ranged focus on the ranged.
Wave 14
(Jotnes) are tricky, they seem to be a lot tougher and take more hits, so on the first run, we killed majority, but all the shields were broken and we barreled the last 5. So on the second run, we placed 2 wall cades and a barrel behind, blew the barrel, 5 or 6 jotnes were killed and when they ran up to the shielders, they died within 1 hit, easy and fast fix.
Wave 16
(Thor) - Grab a save on wave 15. Set 2 wall cades up and a barrel, barrel the chosen. Set up about 6-7 short heavy cades infront of the shielder for ranged to wittle down the chosen (This is not necessary, however it increases your survival chance if you can get extra pot shots off at thor). Once thor is at the shield wall, move the slashers away from the shielders as they do not stun lock Thor (This is what you want to achieve). When you are fighting thor, you want to stun lock him so he does not overhead swing, you are not aiming for damage but again, stun locking. So after the slashers have moved back, put your archers in the slashing spots and make them shoot at his legs. Meanwhile the crossbowmen should be elevated as well as the pikeman, shooting his torso as they have higher penetration and can stun lock at the torso.
Alternate strategy is that once the chosen are dead, simply surround Thor with the shielders (Note, this only works if you have DWP) and simply spam slash him with DWP in a 1,2,3 motion so he is constantly stun locked (DWP got a speed buff from 91 to 99).
Sniper wave is fine, just shield it and let the ranged head shot them as they come around to the shielders.
Wave 20
- Odin - Grab a save yet again. Repeat Thor strategy, place 2 walls and barrel, blow up chosen (weaken). Set up 4-5 short heavies in front of the shielder, kill the chosen. The short heavy cades in front of the shielders, unlike Thor, ARE necessary as Odin has a 2 handed spear and can stab over the top of his chosen. So you must kill the chosen, then Odin.
Once you have killed the chosen, repeat the Thor strategy, archers shooting legs, crossbowmen/pikeman shooting torso, STUN LOCK. Odin is much faster than Thor when it comes to attacking, in such Odin can double overhead swing a shielder and kill him before the time of a master surgeons kit is dropped, so you must stun lock him.
The alternate strategies of DWP also works on Odin.
