i know currently the trade system works upon trust and visual inspection before the trade is completed but this system falls apart when the two who are trading are from different timezones.
i have just been scammed and in a way there was no way to avoid it on my behalf, and i believe this is currently the number one scam in NI.
it works by firstly both parties placing the good's in the trade menu , all is well, now the problem begins when one player clicks accept the other player is informed that the trade has been accepted yet they still have the ability to edit there original offer or remove all there goods and take everything from you.
like i mentioned i believe this problem is only amplified when players are from different locations on the planet.
a possible fix for the problem would be if the offer is edited both parties are automatically removed from there finalized state , thus allowing the player at least a first line off defense when dealing with a scammer .
a follow up thread will be posted in the appropriate section with the player / house that has performed the scam once i have collected as many details on what happened.
