Perhaps you just mistook the name for another.  The Steel Broad Greatsword, for example, is usable by Commando.  The Steel Bastard Straight Sword, another somewhat similar name, is usable at Sargeant.  The Steel Crusader's Sword, however, is Zweihander only as dictated by the website.
