Way too easy as a republic

I got constant lack of money in this game and usually loosing lots of my territory hardly won through inheritance or rebellious bastards who  never can satisfy  .
Like it though challenging but campaign take too long for me so I completed only 2 and gave in game

Started a Byzantine Empire and made it Roman Empire. 100 Years after doing that, constant rebellions which have to be put down and everyone on my borders hate me.  :'( :'( :'( :'(

I prefer the simpler total war series
