The reason is most likely that you are not yet tier 1/tier 2 archer. You can only see equipment usable by you on the AH.

I see tons of people currently selling sharp arrows, lowest is several at 700.

One person is selling sharp barbed at 17000.

Ah, k, didn't look at the names. Khergit arrows from the market place are better than sharp barbed and they sell for 4546.
