Is it not better to change it a little bit easier?
Like only kill Nord Prince 10 times...
Odin is to hard to defeat, and you also don't see King Ragnar very much....

This will make the quest easier for everyone...

I am about halfway there, shouldn't be too bad.  It is maybe a couple months to complete, for an active player that gets into a lot of good runs.

I don't know about making it easier...
I would suggest either:

1. Making the reward better to compensate for the enormous time investment.
   
2. Or making it so you don't have to be the one to land the kill shot.
   

Kill:
10x Nord Prince
8x King Ragnar
2x Odin

Reward:
50,000 Gold
10,000 Assist XP
1x Scale of Fafnir

Considering you not only have to be in a group that can accomplish these feats, you have to be the one to land the kill shot, this is more than several months for most players to complete just once.
Considering you would have be Level 52 before you can complete this, Both Melee and Ranged XP are irrelevant, so spending Assist XP on Gold is the only thing I can think to do. 10,000 Assist XP converts to 2,000 Gold. So, 52,000 Gold Total reward. If you sell the scale, you can make an additional ~50k.

So, potentially 102,000 Gold for a quest that I may never complete, or if I do, it'll likely take more than a year.

  Not kill Prince, Odin or King Ragnar, but get the asist xp from them.
  This would be easier and make sure you don't need months/years to finish it.

I totally agree, cmon, howmuch do you have chacne to complete when your shielder or commando juggling stuff? Bit too overrated to do.

It is not supposed to be easy ^^ but i agree, maybe staying alive when the kill happens could also count in some ways.

Commandos won't have a great time with this quest unless your Legionaire  .

Even legionnaire's will usually have less damage than other ranged players, scoring last hit less often for that very reason.
