My favorite has to be Yellow. I mean Pikachu fallowing you around like the anime, was like living the anime when I was a kid. So many fond memories. Gold has to be my next favorite. Black and White, although the seasons were interesting, I hated the story. I thought team plasma were pansies. Looking forward to X and Y though. If the game plays the way I hope it does, It will be a childhood dream come true!

Hell Yeah! Granted I did have Blue but Yellow had updated sprites, better color, AND you got to be like ash! I mean common, at the age of 7 that was one of the best things ever!

Yellow and blue for the gameboy color were my first and my favorite but I couldn't figure out were to get one of the badges in Yellow so I abandoned that game and got silver from a friend of mine. I logged more time on Silver than blue and yellow but I didn't know anybody w/ gold or silver so I couldn't trade ):

I owned Red when I was a kid, my best friend is about 28 years old and has been playing all of them since yellow. He literally owns all of the pokemon, owns every single game including white and black just to make sure he owns every last pokemon ever. He has a ton of level 100 pokemon and has found a handful of shiny pokemon as well.
He is breeding pokemon right now for use in the new pokemon games that are about to come out so he can beat those games with his newly bred pokemon and get them up to level 100 that way. It's what he has always been doing and doesn't even play competitively anymore because it's not fun for him anymore. He would compete professionally but he just got promoted to manager at his job and has a wife and 2 year old daughter so he just breeds them to the perfect combinations of temperament and the new thing that just came out, something to do with behavior idk, but I gotta hear about it all the fuckin time lol.
