The definition that states a birthday is a day of someone's birth does not include the year. As the context is counting anniversaries of the birth, the birth itself is not a birthday.

No, by the definition of the word "birthday," it's the anniversary, which does not include the original event.

This is not a problem of combinatorics, being the first number is not analogous to being the first anniversary.
