The social aspect of this game is definitely something to mention, but that's not the point of this thread in general is it as you can do that anyway even irl I know scary 

You can be social anywhere so hopefully you do it in a place you like rather then a place you feel trapped in

It applies to past me that's why my words have some anger? frustration? in them but I come at it from good intentions sorry if my words hit too personal for some

What's the stats 10% of gamers are addicted I would guess a good % of this community would be or have been like myself 

The thought of I can't even play any other game I need to play ni or I'm wasting my time

If it were me, I'd vote for it“No.. active gameplay policies should be enforced”,Due to a series of recent incidents, the most severe of which resulted in the collapse of the Wonderland Bureau, there have been significant disruptions. Specifically, one player engaged in unethical behavior, including failing to eliminate more than 20 enemies out of 15 waves during the game, using an explosive device to prematurely end the first match by destroying Odin, thereby preventing all participants from earning any rewards. This player did not offer an apology and proceeded with subsequent matches without remorse. In the second game, this individual left the game unattended while harvesting items, leading to another failure. Furthermore, they publicly stated that this was retribution for destroying Odin in the previous game, which ultimately caused the second game to collapse as well. Recently, I observed this player's actions being criticized in a post, and I am puzzled as to why the production team has not taken measures to address this issue.

Either you promote active gameplay with bonuses for certain actions or you become stricter with AFKs with admins bonking people. I think those are the only 2 solutions I've found.
As someone who hardly looted, I have to admit it's increasingly disheartening seeing people I see AFK sometime claim they looted a legendary, it makes me lose motivation to play sometimes.

    Yes, I also play on the CN servers and the ping is an issue.  However, I do also see people with 400+ ping (kudos Stephany) be successful archers.  I would not expect them to be top kills, but they are at least putting out the effort and doing the best they can given their situation.  This post is also not directed at any such player... as long as they are putting out the effort.  Just as the rules mention not using low level gear as an excuse not to try, having high ping is also not an excuse not to try.  All that is asked is that you try rather than do nothing.

Just my two cents, unfortunately there’s always going to be ‘rule breakers’ (using that phrase lightly as I haven’t read up on the rules of leeching) on games. It’s a very tough thing to circumvent, whether it’s trolls or cheaters or leeches in this scenario. We all still load up the game to play though, so if that’s how you enjoy the game, so be it. If you don’t like it, report it. If the community is on the same page, then leechers will be reported in game, spots will open up, and I can spam click join on the server for a couple minutes less.

Admittedly, yes it is extremely frustrating dying to an enemy that is rubberbanding before my eyes, and yes, it’s even more frustrating spectating an AFK player straight after. Ultimately I made that decision though, and I’m sure someone else would’ve killed the enemy anyway - what’s the fun if there’s no risk? That’s at least how I keep myself entertained.

Edit:

I don’t want my point of “so be it” being misconstrued, I don’t support leeching as a form of gameplay because it takes away from others, and should be reported. If they’re still in our games and not being reported, press ESC and report, and if there’s no admin, then maybe you’d be a good candidate for one!

This. Also the risk-to-incentive must be more valuable than the opportunity cost from being dead.

Though I've brought this up multiple times throughout the years only to be told the current system is fine due to some misguided belief that everyone will always try their hardest and it will all magically work out. So don't anticipate any changes around this.

Speaking of leeching let us not forget our beloved useless engineers in the mod which is bringing support yet do not build. Like why only a few people on the mod is trying to build?
You are an engineer too, go build. It is not that hard. I do not have to build all the damn cades while you are sitting and eating your popcorn.
You do not require a text that tells you "build".
One last thing. You are not building and standing at right where the builder should be stading to build the cades to an exact area. You are being kicked (physically in game) yet you are not moving nor taking an action. Because you do not even know where to be AFK. Leave your ugly character in some corner which will not prevent the game flows.


This one is going to be for general. Use the damn tomes. They are brought to be used in the damn game. If you participate in the game then make some contrubution. Use the damn tomes when it is needed. You mostly do not require a text that tells you "tome". 
I believe you have a brain which can judge the situation and act according to it.

I completely agree. If you choose a role, you should fulfill its responsibilities. Playing as an engineer but not building or carrying a tome without using it when needed is unfair to your teammates. The game becomes much smoother and more enjoyable when everyone contributes.
