I have seen some cool stuff around like battlecry or warcry etc (buffs teammates).

Wouldn`t that be a cool addition to ni ?

Certainly do able, not all that difficult. New classes are difficult though as balance is an issue. Feel free to throw out some ideas though.

Throwing some ideas out there, feel free to constructively criticize:

Samurai Class

Myrmidon -> Samurai -> Ronin (Rogue Samurai) -> Kensei (Sword Saint)

Can use 1 & 2 handed swords, as well as handle bows better than Infantry, Xbows, and Skirms
Have less armor than Commandos, but they have superior athletics and swinging speed
Worse at archery than archers, cannot use shields



Also...

New support class?

Musician -> Minstrel -> Bard -> Epic Bard
Works like medic in the sense that the higher you progress, the greater the radius of everyone who receives your buffs
Left click allows you to swing your instrument for small amounts of damage comparable to fists or a frying pan, right click allows you to use a buff once.

Musicians can buy/use:
Fife - Increases athletics temporarily

Minstrels can buy/use:
Lute - Increases swinging speed temporarily

Bards can buy/use:
War Drum - Increases armor temporarily
Ceremonial Pipes - Increases the life of barricades (which also solves the problem of servers crashing from new ones needing to be placed)

Epic Bards can buy/use:
Mandolin - Restores the life all of shields of everyone within range
Gibson Flying V (legendary) - Refills arrows/projectiles for everyone within range, heals all shields

How about each fourth-tier class gets an extra ability? A sniper can shout for increased damage (PS/Weapon proficiencies), a commando can shout for increased health (Str/IF), a pikeman can shout for increased speed (athletics/agility/weapon proficiencies) and a sharpshooter can shout to lower the enemies's speed. The same buff doesn't accumulate.

Gashy, they took out strange armor for a reason you know. They don't like it. I could be wrong though.

Another melee/ranged hybrid like the Xbow is exactly what NI could really use.
Seeing as there isn't exactly another weapon type that is really implementable, the Samurai class would be a very realistic and attainable goal for the dev/3d artist team.

If anybody has questions about the idea, I would be happy to share my two cents (this goes for the Bard class as well).

p.s. What's not to like about the Strange armor, look how handsome it is  ;D
