Enchanting

Gems to enchant items with have roughly the same drop rate as a legendary

Embedding an weapon with a gem gives it a permanent effect and gives it a colored glow.

Ruby Gem - Attacks light enemies on fire dealing a small amount of damage over time

Sapphire Gem - Attacks slow enemies' movement speed by 30% for 3 seconds

Amber Gem - Attack speed is increased by 130%

130% faster attack speed? That is ridiculously powerful.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

That means adding 3 more items in item_kinds.txt for each already existing item. And we would reach the limit of items ( i think M&B has limited amount of items that can be in game.)

I'm not implying that your total attack speed would be at 230%. It would just be 30% faster. This rate of attack is obviously up to the dev's discretion as to what percentage it should be.

Enchantments dont really fit into M&B. If we had them
we could also be able to use magic forces and
fight against dragons. IMO

OnTopic: I don't really think it's necessary, but maybe certain items like the Fireblade could have a small fire dmg dot or something? I don't think it's a necessary profession.

Looks a lot like Prophesy of Pendor style.

Maybe restrict it to a few weapons like PoP does.

Also, this game is still fairly fantastical. We're fighting against mythical Nordic gods (Heimdallr, Tyr, Loke, Thor, Odin) and one magical horse.

In PoP these enchanted weapons only have different colours and different stats tho.
ppl asked for shining magical weapons with fire damage and THAT doesnt fit into the game.
