Generally speaking selling basic mats on the forums doesnt really get you much result.(you are better off hoarding those or trying to sell them on the AH in batches).
What you want to try to sell on the forums are the higher value green materials which drop from Late normal mode mobs , and from most of Hard/Ragnarok mode mobs. (Those will appear in green in your inventory).
