I will elaborate. Since there are so many players willing to craft items for you for FREE there's really little need to actually pursue any profession. If you'll ever need anything just nicely ask people here on forums to craft it for you.
The only real profit you can get from leveling any profession is that you can turn very basic materials into something more valuable and sell it to other people. In order to gain gold, rather than lose it, you will need to know the prices and right time to buy/sell stuff.
Armorsmith can craft:
- leather
- woven steel
- straps
- armor plates
- silk
Blacksmith:
- steel
- ammunition
- black steel
- flemish strings
- handles
- blade shards
Alchemist:
- antiseptic cloths
- glue
- mystic charms
- bone dust
- oil
- dye
- and some higher tier materials
There are also few low-tier items in each crafting tree that can be crafted out of garbage and sell with some profit straight on marketplace.
Hope that helps.
