Also true, there are not so many strong kiters to be able to go full rag runs.
One more reason to play both as a (lone or not) kiter and a member of a well balanced team and to take on different positions with different classes is that ppl seek for variety of experiences and tend to get bored with monothony. So once one gets tired with shielding why not to make an attempt as a lone kiter running into the setting sun or vice versa. The more diverse is the gameplay the longer the time it provides fun to players so they stick to it I believe.
