The idea seemed to be fine but it didn't work so good. The trouble is there's pretty much complication to organize it all. But precisely the same effect can be achieved by few ppl who get together and start a normal run. All that is needed is to provide shielders, support items and some in-game guidance for new players (and perhaps a bit of firepower for critical waves).
I can imagine some houses could do it in a very simple manner: get 3-4 house mates, set a roster to make sure you have what you need and join a normal run.
