...infantry has been reduced in usefullness, many runs have i played where the whole emphasis is based on building a wall cade and let the Archers and other ranged classes bombard the nords (wich often die long Before they reach the cade)

Works mostly on begginer-normal servers, due to overpowered players with legendaries.

and the infanty stands idle, perhaps asked to shield or slash when the barricade eventually falls.

Well, playing as infantry in a shieldwall isnt the funniest thing to do aswell, so...
