The poll doesn't make much sense to me since you don't know how many hours of those 12 hours the player has played and on what mode. (...)

12 hours of active playing means only the time you were actually playing and excludes any break. It is meant as a mixture of modes of Normal, Hard and Ragnarok. But that doesn't really matter as the very sense of the question lies in the output which of course varies if you haven't got the level for a certain mode. However you have a feeling about your personal output and the progress that it makes possible.
