Well, I've been suggesting it for months/years. Can tell you as much, this IS planned in near future, but for now we'll have to stick with it the way it is.
Devs are working on a new website for a while already, I have no clue when it will be finished however or how close it is, but I could guess this will come along with shared inventory everyone also can't wait for.
But yah, I agree with your idea cause it's also my idea
. Right now I'm stuck on one character cause I want to complete the Ashes's Quest and it kinda annoys me as it de-motivates me to play anything else due to that. (Also when quests are made per account, i'm pretty sure all kills over all chars would most likely count up together)
