Hmm other than ragnash saying on this post i dont know of anyone else that went from a messer to a legendary. as for house crafting that is going to be one up on the craftables already available.

so for me steel cutter, vengenace or for the best value steel sword but alot of players dont like stabbing weapons. then you have swadian hope or head crusher but they are double the price of veng and cutter so personally i think there will always be a place for the steel cutter.

I might be doing that if I ever get to the stage of buying legendaries. The incremental upgrade of the Steel Cutter is too small for me. Vengeance is pretty solid too, I like it more than the Steel Cutter with better(?) stats and it costs maybe a little bit more.
