First off,
I just want to say how surprised I was on the quality of every single model entered, my jaw was quite literally dropping throughout.
Everyone was above 60% (out of 20), which is more than impressive!
Thank you to everyone who took the time and effort to take part, I hope you all feel it was well worth it.
And last but not least, Congratulations to the winners!
I hope to see you all continue to model, as I look forward to what you all make next!
The rules:
1) One Model/submission per person.
2) Suitable for all ages.
3) Never seen before (You are allowed to use known images as guides for your creations).
4) It belongs to you.
5) Must fit the timeframe and theme (no guns, arabic items, khergit items and 'realistic'*).
*'realistic' means limited or no fantasy elements. Everything on the model must serve a functional purpose.
Good example = Swadian Hope, Royal shield, Durendal.
Bad example = Aurora blade, Sun pike, sword of kings.
How do I enter?
Submit your model along[sup](see below for format)[/sup] with a screenshot of it ingame to me via pm (senni).

How will it be decided?
The models will be marked out of 20 by a panel of judges.

- Overall quality of the model. (Does it look good?)
- How the quality compares to the number of faces. (try to stick below 2k triangles, armours can go higher)
- How well it fits the theme and setting.

- A model in demand (see list)[sup]@[/sup] /1
- An animated model (Bow and crossbow). /1
- A rigged body armour. /2

1st place: 1 x your model ingame added to your inventory. (subject to next patch)
2nd place: 500k cash.
3rd place: 100k cash.
All submissions have the chance to make it ingame (subject to quality), regardless of place. Submissions may need to be tweaked post-contest in order to make it ingame.
Format of Model
The model will need to be made in your program of choice (Blender and Wings3d are free, 3dsmax is free for students- make sure your country is applicable).
It will need to be exported as a .obj (wavefront).
Textures will need to be .dds files DXT 1 with mipmaps. Create the textures in your program of choice, commonly Photoshop and GIMP, then save as .dds with DXT 1 compression and mipmaps.
You will then need openbrf. Use it to create a brf of the the model and textures, adjusting the settings to your preference.
Submission must include the .brf file, textures (textures must be seperate .dds files) and a screenshot from ingame.
