One server (that I won't name, but they learned their lesson) turned off Friendly Fire reflecting damage (which isn,t allowed) and guess what happened ? 2 guys with shield blocking the way and everyone in the back spamming overhead . It was a pure spam fest and they were getting very easy (non-challenging) XP.
If you put friendly fire , people will grief and TK, but in another way, people will stay away from people using sun pikes. People using that pike knows how annoying it is for (mostly new players who have no clue how annoying and painful it can be...) them to take a swing at an enemy and that swing hits that random guy trying to get the kill. He player gets damage , and often take a swing from the bot. Same goes archers. You try to aim and some guy who's not paying attention walks buy or stay at front of you .. well they'd learn the hard way with friendly fire , but then how to prove it was an accident shot/swing ? People would rage , TK at spawn, etc. etc...
I think it's perfect the way it is right now, and if you lower the mirror damage %, then people will spam even more instead of being more careful.
