Also, the signature image was taken from a thread from the earlier days of the forum. The small image in there could actually be worthy logo material, but I'm not sure about the source.

Was one of the banners made by Logics, way way back in ye olde days. Should be around the old parts of the forum somewhere if you look hard enough. All of them where quite awesome and could work as a base for a NI logo, not that I care  8)
