I had an idea of taking the "wings" off the helmet so it looks like it has two horns.

If you totally get rid of them it looks like a normal "uncrossed" great helmet.
Moreover, wings don't really disturb you to shoot, they aren't so big, you may see between it. ^^
Common it seems the winged helmet is like a cade in front of you. Tongue
It's the WINGED helmet that look nice.
