Because you yourself said that most people play for loot, not challenge. And I've said nothing else but ''most people play for loot (so looting is a special moment to them) and therefore reducing loots will reduce the special moments''.

So how did I just figure this out when I've known for ~12 years?

What I wanted to say (but clearly am not able to, because english is not my first language) is: "PCK and I just came to the conclusion that looting is a special moment for most people". We should stop right here, because this isn't about bosses and spawn chances anymore.
Would be a shame to put a single Durendal as a loot history...

There's only a few ways coming to my mind to make combat more difficult:
1. Increasing bot health: lame, since it just takes longer to kill them, which won't impact the run that much, unless it takes so much longer that it becomes frustrating (imagine a follower taking 10 volcs to the head before he dies)
2. Increasing bot damage: speaking as a sentry main: lame, since you're onehit by many things already. other than that, this might be the most logical decision, especially since RG got an extra 2 shield skill and even cades aren't an issue if you've got 3 engis
3. Turning off auto-block for everyone: no explanation needed, that's a horrible idea
But doing any of these without any other (better) idea would be like removing 1/4th of the classes for no reason.

As I said at the start bosses abilities is actually a way you can buff them to the point a team that isn't fully paying attention will wipe faster but one that is will pass in the same amount of time just about as ATM

Like Odin's ability with the Spears falling from the sky

Increase that by 2x or 3x and that doesn't really effect much for a good team but will be more hectic in a random run

There are ways to do what I'm suggesting and it's not that hard either like cade's you could nerf a little that way people need to tome for cades more or actually bring in more inf

Making bots have more HP isn't a good way to do it I agree

I'm hesitant to suggest this because this could actually be chaos for all but imagine on Loki's wave rather than one random trickster being able to spawn on you it was 2 so you can't actually 1 v 1 without taking damage unless you have a shield

You need your [team] to help you

Talking about loot chances and difficulties... Seems like the best of both worlds would be to have a random chance of inverted boss spawns. Like 50% chance on 1 Heimdallr and 40 Bifrost guardians, and 50% chance of 40 Heimdallrs and 1 Bifrost Guardian. Best of both arguments, right?  Tongue

What a coincidence, I was thinking the same thing recently. what if Odin did his spear rain like 5 time in a row and in multiples area, then 10 sec later he does it again, while he hit you with a slow forcing you to grab a shield to protect yourself, a pure war zone, a hectic bossfight, you can even make the ability have a random size, you suddenly see that the red particles area his 2 times the normal size. Same for Thor increase the frequency of his ability by a huge amount. They would be more than gimmick.

Idk with thor honestly why I didn't say anything feel like if you touch it too much it actually will be so hard to do anything

Hottest take I could make is the old way we did heals when you had a dedicated healer was not going to say better but at least more consistent and felt better but maybe that's nostalgia at this point

Thank you all for the discussion. We will consider your opinions carefuly, but I think we've reached the end of this conversation.
