With our House Challenge: Dominate King Ragnar quest VLKA decided that they would also show the NI population the strategy that we used on each map to slay Ragnar. This is the purpose of this thread. For those houses that also take up this challenge we encourage you do to the same.
NB: Each strategy will contain an image with markers placed, a suggested team size, a brief description and a short video of the strategy in place. (I would advise watching videos in 720p)
NBB: These strategies try to use as basic items as necessary to make their useability more accessible to the community. They also can be adapted to both easier and harder modes.
NBBB: On the screenshots it says 'Heavy cades at the blue lines' these are not always heavy barricades, any barricade will usually be sufficient.
NBBBB: All strategies have been successful in killing Ragnar.

Suggested Team Size: 12+
Description: The green line signifies 3 shielders. 2 deployable shields can be placed on the cart next to their heads to provide cover for them and the slashers, but mostly the heavy barricades placed on the rocks will do this job (Can be deployables as well). If the players do not cross the yellow lines then the barricades on the left of the shielders will go mostly untouched as long as enough slashers can swing and kill the nords at the shield line fast enough. You can place any number of barricades/deployables at the rear of the set-up for swadian ranged units. A healer can be protected whilst holding 12+ kits, which will provide suitable healing for a 3-man wide shield wall.

Suggested Team Size: 10+
Description: The green line signifies 3-4 shielders. It is very important that the heavy barricades on the right side of the shielders remain intact, so replace them as they fall. You can place any number of barricades/deployables at the rear of the set-up for swadian ranged units. A healer can be protected whilst holding 12+ kits, which will provide suitable healing for a 3-man wide shield wall.

Suggested Team Size: 8+
Description: *Note: For the Ragnar challenge and the video, another strategy was used as this map was completed before its change. The new VLKA strategy is posted here, this strategy has been proven many times on public servers.
The green line signifies 3 shielders. The heavy barricade and deployable locations are depended on where the swadian ranged units stand. The only 2 barricades that are absolutely needed are the ones closest to the shielders, infront and beside. A healer can be protected whilst holding 12+ kits, which will provide suitable healing for a 3-man wide shield wall.

Description: The green line signifies 2-3 shielders. The deployable shields placed in the hut windows can also be switched with heavy barricades, it is very important that all the hut windows are covered in some way. With the shield line stagger, there is ample space for both commandos and pikeman to slash, the elevated stairs provide the swadian ranged units the chance to shoot down over the shieldwall. A healer can be protected whilst holding 12+ kits, which will provide suitable healing for a 3-man wide shield wall.

Description: The green line signifies 3 shielders. Any number of heavy barricades and deployables can be placed on walls to cover the swadian units from nord ranged fire. If the players do not cross the yellow lines then the barricades on the right of the shielders will go mostly untouched as long as enough slashers can swing and kill the nords at the shield line fast enough. A healer can be protected whilst holding 12+ kits, which will provide suitable healing for a 3-man wide shield wall or alternatively the ammo refill could be used to spam heals.

Description: The green line signifies 2-3 shielders. Both deployables and heavy barricades work in their respective spots, the set up of these are depend on where the swadian ranged units prefer to stand. A healer can be protected whilst holding 12+ kits, which will provide suitable healing for a 3-man wide shield wall.

However, there will need to be ample protection on the right side of the shielders, as the nords will stand and shoot the flank. On later waves the shield line will have to take on a slight diagonal stagger to prevent being shot by harder nord ranged units. A healer can be protected whilst holding 12+ kits, which will provide suitable healing for a 3-man wide shield wall.

You can be as adventurous as you want with the barricade set-up beside the shielders here, it is advisable to allow the swadian ranged to fire over them however to kill any nords that decide to shot point black at shield line. A healer has access to an ammo refill with this set-up to 'spam heal'.

Heavy barricades can be placed on the raised platform at the rear for swadian ranged, or they can peek out from behind the wall behind the slashers. A healer can be protected whilst holding 12+ kits, which will provide suitable healing for a 3-man wide shield wall or alternatively a healer can have access to an ammo refill with this set-up to 'spam heal'.

Description: *Note: There is a new pink line on this suggested setup. We completed Ragnar on this map using the above posted strategy, but it was far from easy because of nord ranged fire. It is recommend that the barricades and shielders set up where the pink line is instead, which would be much safer against ranged and require less barricades. (It has not to this point been proven to be better).

As long as swadian units stay within the yellow lines, nords will not come from the back, however on swadian spawn some nords have a chance of coming around the back, so some barricades can be placed at rear of set-up for added protection. A healer has access to an ammo refill with this set-up to 'spam heal'.

If we waited until this whole strategy was complete, the mod could be over, the maps could all be different, VLKA could be disbanded. So it is a work in progress for now. I would prefer the community is fed the information as it is made available.
I believe the tunnel isn't a viable camping spot. It is way to reliant on barricades/deployables to get adequate shooting zones. Not to mention the tougher nords just standing infront of the shielders and shooting. The posted strategy for Ambush is what I believe to be the most efficient and safe, as well as still possible after map update.
