Nope. The sum is correct, but...

...you get it back after a minimum deposit time of 21 days.
Note that these interest rates as well as the duration of loans and saving deposits may well change,
depending on the demand of players.
This is the first day this is up. Just give it a bit of time. Wink The maxima of loans and saving deposits
are also depending on my own money, as in case something goes wrong I will have to stand for it,
meaning I can't take too much of a risk just now.

Hope that claryfied it. Smile

(29-05-2014, 11:58 PM)greekdragonkdl link Wrote: The problem I see with this is the high possibility of players requesting for loans from your bank
There is a maximum loan sum of 500.000 at the moment, meaning, after this sum is borrowed the
bank won't give out anymore loans when this is reached.
(29-05-2014, 11:58 PM)greekdragonkdl link Wrote: Say 5 people deposit 100k each. Now you have a total of 500k in the bank. Technically you could then loan out that entire 500k, but then what would happen if the people who deposited their gold with you suddenly want their money back?
...as said, there are maximum sums of both loans and deposits. If need be, I can pay back the whole
maximum sum of 1.000.000 all at once and I would do. 8) So no worries. Your money is save.
(29-05-2014, 11:58 PM)greekdragonkdl link Wrote: I could see this idea possibly working ok if a very rich player created it, as they would have a lot of capital.
Well...I'm not doing too bad as a trader but thanks for your concern...it is noted!  ;D

Well, then don't deposit and thanks again for all the good advise! Wink

Wow! Is that a hypothetical question? ;D

I feel it guys...you want moar! Smile

Ok...I tell you this - I will reconsider the maximum amounts. I have to find a way though,
to make this also 100% secure what most supposedly means, that there has to be a big
enough deposit sum until we will give out the same amounts in loans...oh dear :Smile

One thing is for sure...this bank will never ever give out more in loans as there are in deposits.
Real life shows very well where that would lead... :o

To answer your question finally (and purely hypothetical) Handef: 190k after 21days, which is a
huuge amount I must admit1 ??? ;D

In real life you have this thing called a savings bond where money is tied up and you earn interest on saving. Unlike a cash saving where you put money in and pull out whenever they want. If you make it clear that it is a savings bond and not a cash savings then it sounds more secure.

Nonetheless, you should constantly change the deposit and loan limits accordingly.

So the 3.8% rate isn't weekly, it is over a full 21 day period?  Yuck.  I would not be part of the start-up fund for such a small return, given the huge amount of trust I'd have to put in you.  You don't strike me as an overly mature banker sort of fellow.  I'd like to see your house work out before I invest anything into your bank idea.

Small Return?  ??? Well, let me tell you this...there might be players like you with a lot of money, for
whom 190k isn't a big amount, but have you calculated this p.a.? And if I increase the return, what
would be the consequence for the loan interest? Are you then suggesting to plunder the people like in
real life, with interest rates for their loans far exceeding the 10% margin? - Cause that would have to
happen if I wanted this to be after all profitable. This won't happen and as I told someone before, it
isn't meant to make me rich, but considered a usefull service that was non-existent til now.
But anyway man, luckily I'm not at all depending on someones money. I got enough and although this
might in your eyes be not worth mentioning, it is sufficient for me to let it grow slowly but steadily...
and in a after all healthy manner! Wink
And by the way...I don't give a ... on what I strike you...to make that one absolutely clear! Wink

I think you are missing the part where the 190k is if he puts in the already massive amount of 5 million gold after a minimum of 21 days.

Would the interest on loans be weekly?  In that case, it may also make sense to make the deposit interest be done weekly as well.  That is what I was trying to point out, not any of the rest of that.

I apologize that I used such phrasing with the "maturity" portion.  What I intended to say was that you did not strike me as the banking sort and that I'd like to see both your house and this idea work out before I personally involve myself or my house members.  I did not mean it in an offensive way.  Best of luck to you.

PM has been sent for further discussion.

I also think it is the best to not continue this here, as I have a different view on the matter, which I tried
to point out to you in my answering PM.
The conditions of both loans and saving deposits are clearly defined in the OP. After all it is my decision
which conditions I offer as long as I back all of this with my own money.
I accept your apology and hereby apologize myself for adjusting tone and phrasing of my reply which might
have lead to an escalation, unwanted by all parties.
Thanks to your post, that didn't happen and I thank you for that.

I think the idea is really good but I am really interested how this will work in the future.
I think you can do it because we really saw that you thought about, before writing it Wink.

I wish you much luck and think it needs time but you have a good chance to be the first NI bank.
