Clear answer: If it's not on this list, you can't equip it.

Quick and equally clear answer: no, you can't equip it.

Also, the topic you linked is very old, from over two years ago. A lot has changed in this mod since then, like the Knight class mentioned in that thread, which no longer exists, and a lot of equipment that people used to be able to wear back in the day is no longer available to us. Far more new stuff, however, did become available.
