what are some good strats for cav?

im wondering if it is a good idea to try and ride around lancing everyone or hitting with 2h etc or kiting with a crossbow/bow/thrown
what works well for you? also has anyone tried to beat cav without horses?

Since cav doesn't get played much, only the first

Kiting with ranged is the only way past wave 16.
Appareantly I gave most of my loot chance to Fara. Mostly AFG, rise from the ashes from time to time.

its all well and good kiting but the problem is that if you are an archer you will be kiting for hours as shields do not break easy and its risky to let them raise shields as higher waves due to their pace

crossbowman with a good crossbow and lots of trips to the shrine or for wave 16, you have one guy kite them around while a few archers/cbows ping away at afar.

crossbow i feel is the class to be with a repeater and a big shot
it works well more effective on the later waves

Do barrels even damage horses? I used 4 or 5 of them at cav wave 20 and didn't kill a single horse :-\
