Normal mode bugged to be too hard?

I am not the only one that is saying this.  But for the past two days normal mode early waves are ridiculously difficult.  They are hitting harder, taking more hits and running faster.

This has happened on the Normal E Indy E, PK Normal E.

Everyone pretty much agrees something is wrong.  Any info on this?

i think its the hardmode counterpart problem. the normal wave units are getting the stats of their hardmode alter ego.

This is still happening. Additionally, at least two other North American servers I play on have been having bad server lag. This includes rubber-bands, getting attacked through your shield, and about half of the axes I throw not showing up at all. Is there a server that isn't bugged in some way or another?

I just started playing this mod yesterday and I've noticed a few things that seem like bugs, this is certainly one of them.

Nord Pesants and many of the other early waves hit incredibly hard, anyone who isn't wearing at least some chain armor is in danger of being one-shotted by peasants. Curiously, the only NA Independent server I know of doesn't seem to have this problem?

Additionally, the vast majority of the NA official servers cave and rubberband with any more than just 2 or 3 players. This doesn't seem right, and the game is pretty much unplayable with five players. Again, the Independent_Normal server I've been on doesn't have this problem at all.

These two things in combination has made it virtually impossible to find any server to play on. Not good news if you hope to attract new people to the mod. Can we expect any kind of dev response or acknowledgement of these issues soon, or are we to slug it out or slowly wander away out of frustration?

(To make things worse, I understand the Independent servers are going away soon? I understand that there's a problem with allowing map-voting, but maybe the official severs should be somewhat playable before this move is taken? The independent server is the only one I've managed to get any meaningful play out of without being incredibly frustrated with game-breaking bugs)

I'm not a dev, but that may have been the result of yesterdays attempted Event which ended up causing lots of problems and lag. Seems to happen every time.
