Remember that commandos have much better armor then snipers. Around 50% more which mean that the commandos are still in the lead.

i feel like they should at least be on equal level regarding stats, just makes more sense ( realism and this kind of stuff)

Stats shouldn't be changed to make them more realistic but to get rid of possible imbalance between the classes. It wouldn't make that much of a difference if you raise the stat by one in my opinion and it worked perfectly well so far with the current stats. I don't think this change is necessary.
