Simular to Counter Strike. CS was a free Mod for Half Life. Valve saw the potential, and it is now one of the common FPS Multiplayer games.
It is good that Modders can break into the industry this way. I will agree that it is sad to lose a "free" Mod. So mixed feeling on this, but we did gain a free update to the base game. I would assume some of that is due to the hard work of those who made MM. Might even allow for some new options in Nord Invasion. That makes me smile.
