I'm not a fan of the overhead swing for two-handers either. It seems too awkward, and I find it it difficult to see when a swing actually starts so I can block it. Same applies to one-handed thrust.

Resistance to change is inevitable, but I can understand any dislike of the new stab animation for those who play in 3rd person melee. Your character's body blocks your view of the enemy making it a bit more difficult to react.

That's true, the stab comes out of the blue a lot now.

The new stab is so much more realistic. I love the way it comes out of the blue!
