This thread is now a place to ask any questions or express any concerns about official NordInvasion tournaments. I will try to keep this thread updated with FAQ as necessary. Please read the FAQ before posting, your question may already have been answered!
Can you choose a legendary that hasn't been looted yet?
The legendary of choice may be any discovered legendary. Do not go digging through the item files.
Can I attend multiple regions?
Yes! Participants from all regions are recommended to attend as many events as possible to maximize their chances of winning!
I don't like that you are giving away legendary items as a reward. Why would you do this?
Legendary items are being given as a reward as this was the tradition in the tournaments of the past, except that the winner of each category got a legendary out of that category back then. Think of it as a way for players to earn a legendary in a way outside of the usual slaying of Nords. If you still don't like it, I apologize, but this is not up for debate. Do not bring it up.
What kind of "standardized equipment" do you mean? Is it something high tier or is it some sort of training gear like in the native tournaments?
Training gear similar to the native tournaments. If you were around for the house tournaments, that stuff (possibly with some stat adjustments).

So this would only put 3 new legendary items into the game?
Yup! Points are shared across regions and there will only be one reward pool.
Can I apply for EU and NA?
Yes! Both EU and NA brackets are open to participants from all regions and people are recommended to sign up for both for the most chances at points.

I've been working on plans with the developer team to host a great Swadian tournament to give everyone a chance to fight for fame, glory, and fabulous loot! For now, the tournament is planned to have a best of five (three depending on number of participants) double elimination bracket for multiple categories. Soldiers fearing high ping need not worry, as the tournament will have separate brackets on EU and NA open to players from all regions and participants are welcome to sign up for both (I apologize to AU, but we are unable to arrange a separate set of brackets for your region). The tournament categories are as follows: one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, polearms, mixed melee, bow, crossbow, throwable, and last man standing. Player stats and equipment will be standardized to keep things fair to players of all levels and wealth. First through fourth place in each category will earn points based on their ranking and the four players with the most points accumulated at the end of the tournament will be given access to glorious rewards: 4th place - 750,000 gold; 3rd place - 1,500,000 gold and legendary of choice; 2nd place - 3,000,000 gold and legendary of choice; 1st place - 5,000,000 gold and legendary of choice. These details will be better solidified and explained in a future post, as the point of this one is to gauge interest and help decide how the tournament will be ran. Please feel free to ask any questions or express any concerns you may have here, and please vote to show your interest so we will have some idea of how many people will need to be accommodated.
There is also a possibility of a house tournament in the near future depending on the interest the community shows. If you are a house leader and know your members would be willing to participate, please PM me with the name of your house and an estimate of how many players you would be able to field. To preempt questions about the buff banner offered in previous tournaments, this one will not award such an item, but plans for different unique items are being discussed.

Yes! Both EU and NA brackets are open to participants from all regions and people are free to sign up for both. It was decided that this is the fairest way to do it.

What about making a different event after this were people with high ping (Au..) can shine on their own server maybe being a kite battle? So make a custom map and custom waves and we really see who is the best?
Could also just make an archery tournament were all regions can concept on the same server just about (Aiming at a target.. etc)

Depending on how this goes, there may be semi-regular events taking place that could very well include some ideas like that.

Depending on how this goes, there may be semi-regular events taking place that could very well include some ideas like that.
too much effort for au, just distribute a bunch of $ and legendaries to au players XD
