Steel Cutter is very good and also very expensive wep.And it's simple look doesn't compare with it.So, i like to have another style for this great wep.Going to make re-texturing, screens later.

Maybe if you removed the red and black etchings.engravings/paintings to make it look more realistic.

These ornaments are very important part.It's realistic enough, I think.There were many ornaments on weapons in Middle Ages.

Not like that though
Anyway I would say that is fine, and I like your ideas, but the edge suddenly looks so hooky and the metal looks quite rusty while it should be shiny and polished.

maybe if you change the red markings and change it for some metal engravings if may look more realistic

I'll come back to my previous post. The black smudge around the tip makes it look damaged and the new color on the metal makes it look rusty, as if someone never polished it while he used it. That's why I at least would prefer the old version.
