Fearsome cost more then a worm bane. (I can't paste numbers on it, since the economy is a fail)

I won't say what I traded for my wormbane or fearsome but I did however trade a lot less for a wormbane than a fearsome. So i would have to agree that you could get more from a fearsome than a worm bane as all that own a wormbane are vastly overpricing them.

Its really personal opinion, what are you willing to pay for a fearsome over a worm bane.

The market price for the wormbane is the combination of how much people, who have them, value them to be and how much other people pays for them. It may be all personal opinion, but the price of each does crunch into an approximate range on the market.

Indeed, its a mix of personal opinion and the amount acquired between players, but for the worm bane I see the average price between 4-5mil but for as low as 3mil or so. And for the fearsome i have seen one go for about/appox. 4mil worth of gear but that is the lowest i've seen in a while and am not completely sure of its price at the current moment. Also in a personal belief I see the fearsome to be worth more than the worm bane.

Here is the way I see it. The Fearsome Knight Helm was the best head armor in the game for commandos before the introduction of the Valsgarde. Currently, it still outranks every crafted helm in terms of armor values. Secondly, the Fearsome is, in my opinion, the best looking helm (when used with transitional armor), but this is merely my opinion. In regards to the Worm Bane, considering that it is a weapon, there are many others that can take its place. The greatest benefit is that it can be used by lower class tiers as well, if I recall correctly (unless that was limited only to the Aurora Blade). In my opinion, the Worm Bane only has a role as a status symbol. Aside from that, other weapons can easily replace it. In a shield wall you could just as easily use other long reach weapons. As an archer, if you need something to block with, just about anything will do.

Of course, that is not to discount the convenience of the bastard sword. It is good in that it is capable of being used in a shield wall as well as in the capacity of a side-arm. But it isn't a necessity.

That is why, in my opinion, the worm bane is of less worth than the fearsome.
