I like the idea of having a faster but smaller health recovery from soup/beer. But I would propose to leave the medic table as it is. Would make more sense to having different scene props besides being cool. And it would probably cause for less crowding around them and shorter waiting periods. When you've been dealt a nasty blow, you run back to camp quickly to take a sip of grandma's special soup/uncle's favorite beer and rush back to the fighting. When you're in a state you have to support your head because it's balancing on a string of flesh, you'd best rush to the medic table and get some special attention.

I would like having a second version of a healing prop that heals less health, but takes less time to use.

While power creep can be a big problem with frequent releases, sudden shifts towards much greater progression difficulty and a longer grind can alienate newer players, and discourage more experienced players from playing with them.

Not that people like playing with redshirts on their team as it is, except during games of "Protect the Redshirt".
