Last time I played with the King everything was fine and he talked, not sure what the problem is, he wasn't getting hammered by questions either.

You're a test subject. My best guess is he has his own 'legit' account, and he only log on with the King and helps when he wants to see how people play the higher waves, and logs on and watches when he wants to see how people play the game and how he should adjust it.
