make wood useful
#1
why is wood so useless? because you can't really use it in crafting so i came up with the idea that you can craft sturdy wood with it, like 10 wood for 1 sturdy wood, i know that wood crash the current value of sturdy wood same goes for metall -> hardened metal      and cloth -> heavy cloth, i don't know if the devs have thought about that and have decided that these mats (sturdy wood, hardened metal, heavy cloth) sould only be dropable
however, it would also destroy the crafting costs but that could be solved by making it 100 wood/metal/cloth to 1 sturdy wood/hardened metal/heavy cloth

what do you think about that give me your opinion, it was just an idea i came up while i was bored cause my steam didn't worked Sad

I think its because the wealth makes you think its useless. Its good for newer players to craft items for cheap and level up crafting skills or for cheaper early game items. Just because many of the older players are already obscenely wealthy doesn't mean you should make things that newer players need such as low tier arrows, normal barricades, some low tier weapons more expensive than they are right now. Instead of dumping wood by the masses into the economy, they'd just be flooded into Sturdy Wood, making what higher tier players want more affordable.

A good way to expand on the usefulness of wood would be to give it a Steel equivalent. Maybe Treated Wood or something. Metal has Steel, Cloth has Leather (which is pretty shitty and I think there should be a different one), Bone Shards have Bone Powder (which is fairly useful and expensive), but Wood doesn't upgrade into any intermediate tier type. Granted there is no 4th crafting class that would accommodate it, it could be decent on armorsmiths because Cloth to Leather is a poor upgrade.
