Good Commando 2h On a Budget?

I'm going to try and limit this to 100k or less because I usually shield anyway, but when I do slash I need something better than my steel sword. So what does the community think?

I'm looking at strange great sword, heavy bardiche, and great axe.
Leaning towards great axe right now.

Hard mode, 2 hander, under 100k = Iron Mace/Morningstar, cut weapons don't like heavy armor.

Normal mode = one of the weapons you posted.

Thanks, I am looking at your spreadsheet atm deciding. Appreciate the input. So for later waves on normal like pikes and huscarls blunt weapons would be better there too?

Yeah iron mace has blunt which is always good

My spreadsheets are a bit outdated, but it'd probably still apply on huscarls+ going by native stats.

As a general rule, commando blunt/pierce weapons tend to have much less reach or are a bit slower to swing, so you have to choose between killing low armor enemies faster or high armor enemies faster.

Thank you both for the help! This seems a no brainer as huscarls and zweihanders are considerably scarier to me than berserkers.

And lower armored nords often do a lot less damage, so you can take your time with the slower weapon anyway.

I can really recommend the Morningstar, being a hand and a half, so you can use it as a 1 hander as well, and because it has crushthrough, which is very very useful in both hard and normal.

Both Iron Mace and Morningstar are very good weapons, I'd recommend em over any cut low price stuff.
In a shieldwall I prefer Morningstar because of the Crush and higher damage, while soloing or doin open field stuff
I like the Iron Mace more because of its knockdown flag.
