Problem with heavy skirsmisher / throwing weapons

I encountered a bug where my equipped throwing weapons (bought from the marketplace, so I should be able to use them) are goofing out in-game. So when I spawn, I get champion huscarl shields instead of throwing spears. I get Nord Warlord Helmet instead of Javelins. After the patch I respecced to heavy skirmisher - no other trees chosen as of now. These helmets are not very effective against nords, in fact they cause me to crash on spawn.

Tried with war darts now - mail mittens.

Have you installed the latest patch?

Yes - installed the latest patch in the NordInvasion folder. I'll try reinstalling and see what happens.

EDIT: Deleted the folder and did a clean install - and now it works. Probably a corruption in the previous install.
