shared loot system
#1
this idea is still a prototype it can chance overtime

In a attempt to promote teamwork, help out starters and reduce whining about loot
I was thinking about a system that give people around a chance of loot.
not as great as the one that make the kill but let say a 50-75% chance
For example is you have normally 1/12 of the chance of loot than it would at 50% be 1/24 of a chance of loot
its kind of how the assist works but then it is with loot
alternately it could be used as solution for the problem with people of lvl 39 and above taking most of the loot
the disadvantage of long lines is that people get lost in the text

true but it could be used for the ability to give 39+ back the option to get loot on normal without getting most of the loot for them alone
but at this moment most of them hardy get the loot they need on hard mode simply there isn't (at lest normal metal and wood) plus the loot that is is hard to get by (coal) it already caused problems grinding crafting after lvl 39 to almost to a halt. I want to bring back crafting, promote teamwork (and make it even rewarding!) and give beginners the chance to make money

Anything that helps level 39 get loot in normal mode deserves my support. I like the idea.

Not only that appeals to me, but you need to think of the raw recruits and tier one archers/infantry that just don't have the staying power of sergeants and heavy longbows in normal mode. They're denied a lot of loot if higher leveled players are trying to carry them, seeing as how they're landing most of the killing blows.

I thought up a problem but I see you already have a solution, but I want to emphasize it a bit because if the devs make work of this, it's quite important.

There's a risk of leechers if this is not done correctly. If everybody in the server has a chance of loot, people will join a server and not to anything, just to gain loot. That's why it has to be done the TS says it should be done. It should work like with assist XP. Only if you are near, you have a chance of loot.

An alternative could be: only if you have been active the last 10 seconds (you have pressed a button or you have moved the mouse) you can gain anything (assist XP or loot). Another alternative could be: if you aren't active for 1 minute, you get kicked from the server.

well i wanted to make it just like assist exp (to be easily implemented by the developers  but also against lechers and afk) but your idea is good but there is a catch those players can just hold 1 button and still leech. its a good suggestion but it need some work. what there is already against lechers is the option to report players
