I've noticed this problem recently where I will join an EU or NA server and the last of a spawn wave will be killed and I wont spawn in at all. This usually happens when coming from a different region server.
So, if I just came from an EU server and am waiting on an NA server to spawn it wont work. I'll have to close the game and restart by going straight to the server I want to play on.
I had this happen twice in a row when trying to get on Normal NA2. I joined after coming from a Normal EU server and followers didn't spawn me in. I then restarted and tried joining a Hard EU server just as it emptied out, so I went back to Normal NA2 just as skirmishers were being killed and they didnt spawn me in either.
Let me know if you need more info.
