[Submission] Jeldan Citadel
#1
Jel-dan:
Jel - Great
dan - fortress
(Based on the Calradian language)

The Jeldan citadel stand on the western border of Swadia and the Kingdom of Rhodoks, near Nemeja and Istinar. Fallen under the hand of the budget cuts, the garrison was disbanded and the once great citadel was forgotten until now, as the retreating Swadian armies took over the great citadel once more to defend against the pursuing Nord hordes.

So yeah, in the beginning the enemy can attack the forward base from two sides, but after that they will be funneled into the streets, and only have one direction from which to attack. The stairs you can see later wont let horses get up, so its a good place to retreat to when the cavarly attacks.

So this topic is to report any bugs you may found in the map, once it gets in the game. Just sent it to Hande for approval.

Actually, you can sort of see it, but the trebutchet has been used to practise, theres a ruined castle on the other side of the valley.

I would love to comment on the pictures, but unfortunately, they are from imageshack which requires regristration to see it.

But our maps are strictly calvary friendly, that means that there are no stairs that would force calvary to get stuck or dismount to attack the player. I'm not sure what Hande would think about it though, so you might have to replace the stairs with a cav accessible slope.

Yeah, Mountain Pass is like the cav heaven. Besides, horses arent exactly supposed to get inside the castle in the first place, Swadians arent idiots after all.

It will be a new map or could be one once its approved.

I like the idea and hope it gets in. I'd love to play a map where we have to defend a castle.

Yeah, its a new map, if it gets in. I made it so that cavarly, atleast human, can get up the stairs, because for some reason the cavarly has to be able to return up there even though theres a healing pot and arrows outside the stairs but whatever :-\
