'U' chat won't send

Started Playing NI recently and I keep getting asked to use 'u' to chat. It doesn't work, as I can type the message but it does not send (Return does nothing). 'T' and 'Y' work. I found someone with a similar issue here (not the crashing issue, I think I know what was causing that for him).

I think it's dead as I can not add to it.

I beileve this is a non-windows system issue as I'm on kubuntu 14.04. I do not know any other mods that have U to chat (tested native and napoleonic wars).

Also when typing a message a message and using 'l' in the message is sometimes pops open the log as if I was not typeing a message. Annoying but livable.

Yeah as the thread you linked, it is a non-windows operating system problem, not sure how to or even if you can fix that problem I'm afraid.

I know it's old but I just want to confirm that this also happens on mac (OSX 10.11). I also confirmed that I have only found "U chat" in this mod.

This could have to do with Enter/return key differences that are not getting handled by U prompt.

As a work around, you can make enter work if you click the text above the chat box after typing the message.  Might take multiple clicks.
