Connection troubles

I downloaded everything properly, but when i try and find a server, nothing shows up.. is it because there just isnt any servers online right now, or what? I cant get the code to activate my character because of this.. Any help would be great!

or do the following:

1. Go to cmd or type in start search bar: ncpa.cpl
Disable all but the one giving you internet.

2. Create a new character and try searching with that one.
