| I agree, hopefully the craftable or legendary crossbows are better, but as far as I know arbalest will be the only other craftable one other than 'regular'.
I feel rather useless still as a sharpsh... |

| Some crossbow damage buff, especially 'heavy bolts'.
Bolts are also now amazingly fast and penetrate shields, a good day for crossbowmen. |

| There is about 6 crossbows that are bugged right now, so it's just not sarranid crossbow, and I believe 1(or 2) of those are legendaries. :P |

| I'd would have to go with crossbow, as you can double as infantry and ranged, as opposed to a lightly armored pikeman who only melees, and who has the same melee damage output as pikeman aswell. |

| You have to watch out for ranged attackers regardless of class, as cavalry you can evade projectiles more easily than the other classes which makes up for the lack of shield. |
